How to get to Central Backpackers Hostel - Old Quarter safe?
- From the bus or train station you should take MAIL LINH taxi or HANOI GROUP Taxi to our hostel.Remember to ask for price before you get in the car ( cost should be around 60.000 - 80.000dong depend on which bus stop ). And ask the taxi driver to take you to Central Backpackers Hostel - Old Quarter at 14 - 16 Thanh Hà street, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi. Its next to Ô Quan Chưởng gate, we are on the right hand-side. Look for the nicest, biggest building and the SHARK!!
- From Airport: ( Hanoi International Airport is approximately 45min to 1 hour from the centre of Hanoi ).
If you are arriving at Hanoi International Airport, we highly recommend booking your airport pick up through us. We do want to help you guy to avoid taxi scam which is easily happens there. Please send us your flight number and arrival time then our driver will wait there to take you to our hostel. There have been numerous reports of taxi drivers taking customers to another hostel that pays them commission, claiming your hostel is full, has moved location, or has been knocked down by an act of God. The best way to guarantee a hassle-free transfer is to book through us for 400.000vnd or you can easily taking the city bus number 17 and 86 to Long Bien bus station ( Cost 30.000dong ) then walk to hostel about 5 minute. Otherwise you can take the airport shuttle bus ( $3/pax ) from airport to Vietnam Airline bus on Quang Trung street then take a taxi to 14-16 Thanh Ha street and its cost max 50.000dong or you can also take a walk about 15 minute to our hostel. When you are facing with the Hanoi's Old Gate we are on your left. Look for the highest & nicest building and the SHARK!

Beware: There have been numerous reports which record taxi drivers and shuttle bus operator from airport, train and bus station taking customers to another hostel that pays them commission, trying to make you booking tours and rip you off. They can give you lots of wrong information such as your hostel was full, had moved location, or has been knocked down by an act of God. The best way to guarantee a hassle-free transfer is to book through us for 400.000vnd total if you coming from the airport and if you arriving by bus or train let take the taxi which have name “Mai Linh taxi’’ or “Taxi Group Hanoi”, show driver our address and ask for driver take you to our hostel.
